The 13-speed Ekar sprockets are available in three different options, which complete the range and reflect the different specializations within the gravel scene, and each combination provides a progression of very smooth relationships. Small sauces for the first 6 pinions, while jumps increase in the second half, where there are the biggest pinions. This feature allows you to offer an optimal riding experience and helps you get the best from your performance on difficult terrain and routes.
The wide choice on the larger pinions allows you to have the most compact pinion pack for endurance events and longer relationships for the most adventurous riders. The combinations of the sprockets are combined with dedicated gears, easily replaceable, to provide the widest range of relationships, soft steps and maximum efficiency and, unlike 2x systems, no waste.
In-depth comparative tests have shown that the 9 tooth sprocket is as efficient as any 10 or 11 tooth sprockets, without additional friction through the special profile toothing, so as not to lose anything of the produced power.
Each cassette consists of two blocks: 4 smaller pinions and 9 larger pinions in configuration with start 9 teeth; 3 smaller and 10 larger for configuration with departure 10.
A special steel is used for greater mechanical resistance with a nickel-chrome-satinate surface treatment that reduces wear and friction, providing the optimum robustness for driving on dirt roads.
The pinion mounts the new N3W free wheel corpet, present at the moment on the wheels Campagnolo Shamal Carbon, but that will be compatible with a wide range of outgoing wheels.
N3W is very versatile, presents the same grooved profiles of the classic free wheel corpetto Campagnolo, but is lighter and shorter than 4,4 mm. N3W is also compatible with all groups Campagnolo 12, 11 and 10 current and future speeds, thanks to the adapter kits available soon.
Since all current wheels Campagnolo HH12 for disc brakes are compatible with N3W, you can easily make your wheels compatible with Ekar: changing wheels is easy and fast!
