DESCRIPTION
TR stands for trail, but it could also mean 'total ripper'. The Raft TR full suspension MTB is Ridley's way of designing a downcountry bike with 120mm of travel.
Performance suspension combined with geometry that strikes a perfect balance between agility and stability. A balance that inspires confidence when you need it, but allows you to be loose and wild where the terrain allows. Thanks to the steering angle of 66.6 degrees and the long wheelbase, you will always be in control.
The Raft TR has a lightweight carbon fibre frame with mounting points for two bottle cages inside the front tube. Other mounting points allow tools or other accessories, such as a backpack for the top tube, to be mounted on the bike.
TECHNOLOGIES
SuspensionSetup
Made for suspensions from 100 to 120mm.
Ridley has decided to make compatible geometries for different types of riders.
The 100m setup makes it easier to manoeuvre and allows for more elegance in riding.
The 120mm setup, on the other hand, improves handling at high speeds while riding on typical dirt terrain with jumps and rocks.
MultipleMounting Points
Multiple mounting points for 2 bottle cages inside the front tube of the frame. Other mounting points allow you to mount tools or other accessories on the bike to take the load that you would normally store in the rear jersey pocket.
Dropper Post Ready
The telescopic seatpost is one of the greatest innovations in cycling of the last decade. It has made riding all types of bicycles easier, safer, and better performing. The main advantage of a dropper post is the increased safety while riding: the lever system allows the saddle to be moved quickly when tackling descents or obstacles on the course. With the saddle down, you are able to assume the most appropriate riding position to cope with changes in the terrain without fearing that the saddle will get in the way of your riding.
Advanced Position Geometry (APG)
The geometry is fully adapted to the intended use of the bike and the terrain.
The geometry is incredibly versatile and makes the bike the perfect companion for all races and rides over untracked terrain.
Ridley Elite Carbon
The carbon frame is produced by the world market leader: Toray. The Japanese manufacturer is a leader in every aspect of carbon development and supplier to the world's top brands in many areas. For the Elite series, Ridley has used every type of carbon available: 60T, 50T, 30T and 24T.
The higher the 'ton strength', the higher the tensile strength of the carbon fibres and the more intensive the development and processing. With 60T carbon fibre, it might take fewer layers of carbon to achieve the desired stiffness and the lightest possible bike, but if you used it to build the entire frame, you would have a very uncomfortable and reactive ride. Therefore, a 24T, 30T, 50T and 60T carbon mix is required, as each type of carbon is needed to perfectly balance rigidity, weight and comfort.
The unique carbon mix of each bike depends on the use of the bike itself, such as climbing, endurance ability, etc. Furthermore, each area of each frame requires a unique mix depending on its function (e.g. comfort or stiffness). And it is in its unique carbon compositions that Ridley makes the difference!
All Ridley professional teams, including Tim Wellens, Caleb Ewan or Thomas De Gendt, use bikes from the Ridley Elite series: this means that your bike is treated with the same care as theirs.
UDH Hanger
SRAM has a universal solution for all rear derailleurs.
As stated by SRAM, the new UDH pivot will be available at most local shops.
It can be difficult to find the right pivot in a small local shop.
Sometimes this means you have to give up on the product.
But the UDH pivot wants to make this frustrating experience a problem of the past!
