These show breaking load and elastic module greater than the various woven carbon plots (the breaking load is the amount of force needed to cause fiber breakage, while the elastic module is a measure of carbon fiber stiffness). They are therefore prepared to obtain the best from them (long the length of their fiber) and obtain rigidity (or flexibility) where necessary. The internal charts of the sheet are different depending on the way they are placed (0 °, +- 45 °, 90 °), and this gives the possibility to create very light carbon products. The woven 3k models (i.e. 3000 filaments per beam) are used only in very specific areas, for example around holes, where delamination could be critical.
