The parallelogram design of this rear derailleur limits all movement to the horizontal axis, making ghost shifting impossible and reducing shifting force. For faster and more precise shifting, the wide offset of the upper pulley maintains a constant chain spacing in all gears.
X-SYNC
The high edges of the square SRAM X-SYNC teeth engage the chain before the traditional triangle-shaped teeth. The narrow, sharp tooth profile and rounded chamfers help manage the deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, X-SYNC gears are designed with grooves for removing mud from the inner chain links and rollers. Designed in Germany, X-SYNC rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1x drivetrain. They do not accept imitations.
