The MILLE GTO bib shorts are the pinnacle of total comfort that characterises the MILLE GT line: they are the spiritual heirs of the legendary CENTO and Campionissimo bib shorts.
They are equipped with the softest, most responsive and breathable ASSOS pad, wrapped in our new, chafe-free panels.
ASSOS knows that a lack of support for big muscles, friction and excessive pressure are the main enemies of long rides. That's why it created the GTO shorts: a real revolution compared to the conventional structure of bib shorts. ASSOS has used recessed seams on the back and an entirely new shaped pad to eliminate chafing and pressure in the genital area. Cut and fabric provide unparalleled muscle support, with an impeccable, body-hugging fit thanks to the crease-free construction at leg height.
Featured Fabrics
OSSIDIA, the main fabric of these shorts, offers the ideal balance between chafe-free comfort and muscle support. The ladderproof fabric is composed of very high fineness polyamide and elastomer yarns to ensure breathability and muscle compression, enveloping the lower back and thighs with pleasant softness against the skin. The front panel is made from LOSANGA, a new fabric developed by ASSOS to eliminate pressure on sensitive areas.
Construction/Fit
For the braces and leg panels we have used rollBar technology and the butterfly panel to ensure stability. Each leg panel is enhanced with LouvreTec construction, with specific footage on the outside of the thighs, to provide a compressive and customised fit. GTO is available in two different leg lengths: STANDARD VERSION and LONG VERSION (3 cm longer than the standard version).
ENGINEERING
zeroWaist: belt with reinforced, raw-cut taped edge, ensuring no chafing between fabric and skin. Greater comfort with less pressure.
superFlat X-FRAME: a single portion of elastic folded over itself, forming a supportive X-structure, with the aim of limiting vertical elasticity in the back.
SkinGrip finish: raw cut edge with a very thin silicone application, which holds the shorts in place without exerting excessive pressure.
MILLE GTO c2 Insert pad: created with our proven goldenGate technology, i.e. free of side seams, and with the necessary recessed seams for friction-free comfort. For the front, we used the new super-lightweight SunDeck, heir to the iconic kukuPenthouse: a super-soft on the skin, foam-free fabric, pre-shaped to cup to support the man's anatomical shape, ensuring maximum ventilation. In addition, this pad is equipped with the twin21 System consisting of three different layers.
microShock: the base of the pad consists of an ultra-light foam with a thickness of 11 millimetres and a highly shock-absorbing composition.
filterFoam: between the microShock layer and the 3D waffle, we have inserted a low-density matrix foam with a thickness of 10 millimetres to completely absorb micro-vibrations. The open cell structure allows excess sweat to be wicked away.
3D Waffle: a patented three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.
WhirlKrater: proprietary system of strategically placed holes to increase air circulation.
