POWERLOCK
SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect our chains. While PL does not require special installation tools, the particularly tight tolerances of 10 and 11 speed transmissions require that each PowerLock is good for one application.

To allow X-Range transmission technology, we have developed a narrower chain. The unique shape of the Flattop technology mesh not only allowed a wider range of gears, but also results in a quieter operation of the transmission and in greater resistance and durability of the chain.
