These adaptable all-mountain shorts have reached new heights with their women's specific cut and cutting-edge materials.
The women's Trail Cargo Shorts have been developed with a waistband that keeps the shorts in place smoothly, a fairly snug fit at the top of the shorts to prevent the saddle from snagging there, an ideal length whether padding is present or not, and a versatile new material that flexes with every ride. Looking at other wider shorts, the Assos designers realised how their fabrics rolled up in strange places and how the addition of zips, webbing and zips contributed to unnecessary weight and irritation when pedalling. Their minimalist approach, on the other hand, uses an adaptable fabric for the primary panels that is equally strong but lighter.
More specifically, it is a woven fabric with bi-directional stretch that is extremely aligned in terms of composition, resulting in a comfortable, quick-drying material that is durable on dirt trails.
The fit has been put under the ASSOS microscope, from which the addition of a close-fitting upper block that starts with a highly elastic panel in the waistband has been examined, to wrap it perfectly and comfortably without adding unnecessary pressure.
Moving further down, the circumference of the highest part of the shorts was further fixed to ensure that the saddle can float between the legs, without any material that could get caught.
A more relaxed cut was then given to the lowest part of the shorts, extending the length of the inner part to 32 cm to make them ideal both with and without padding.
