DESCRIPTION
The Assos iJ.bonKa.Milleis the successor to the legendary Assos airBlock winter jacket. a very sporty cut, ideal for maximum performance in winter.
THE CONSTRUCTION
The iJ.bonKa.6 features 32 patterns, 6 different fabrics and 13 components.
The ASSOS TwinDeckFoiling technology in the chest and upper arm sections is a labour-intensive double-layer construction, a combination of strataGonUltra airBlock fabric on the outside and RXQ fabric on the inside.
Why? More effective insulation and better fit.
The chest and elbow areas have an additional layer of intermediate wind protection.
On the inside of the collar area, the iJ.bonKa.6 has an additional ergonomically shaped inner layer.
High-necked construction that fits perfectly around the chest and collar. This allows the front main zip to be used as an additional ventilation device when climbing, without decreasing the insulation of the chest and collar.
The back panel is equipped with ASSOS RX fabric for increased ventilation, which allows the iJ.bonKa.6 to effectively transport vapour.
Integrated design of the ASSOS stabiliser back panel, which allows the iJ.bonKa.6 to adhere to the body, reduce vertical elongation and keep the loaded pockets where they need to be: in place (without sagging)
ASSOS patent - often imitated, never equalled.
The side panels and lower arms are made of the new ASSOS airBlock textile membrane, strataGonMedium.
TECHNOLOGIES
AEPD
Anatomical fit, ergonomically preformed. Tailor-made to fit the body in a racing position, incorporates the ASSOS science of body mapping the cycling area
Several fabrics moulded and formed into position, allowing your iJ.bonKa.6 to do its job properly.
It activates and follows your movements.
THE KEY FABRIC
The iJ.bonKa.6 jacket uses ASSOS airBlock strataGonUltra fabric. This "jewel" of ASSOS fabric is able to protect and respond intelligently to changes in weather conditions and body temperature.
It is characterised by extreme elasticity, which results in a garment that adapts, insulates and follows the body better.
In the case of iJ.bonKa.6, the innovative uniqueness lies in the engineering of the garment.
Instead of applying a traditional sandwich of membranes (fabrics glued together), ASSOS opted for the newly developed TwinDeckFoiling technological solution: stratagonUltra is used as the outer layer and functions as a super-light and super-elastic shield, guaranteeing thermal response, windproof function and water resistance.
Underneath is the non-bonded RXQ inner insulation fabric. Its job is to maintain a stable microclimate by thermally insulating and managing moisture.
ASSOS TwinDeckFoiling technology is used on the front panels and upper arms to provide a more contoured, four-way stretch fit and accelerated moisture transfer. Although the assembly process is more expensive, the advantages offered justify the cost.
strataGon is the ASSOS textile family of airBlock, an intelligent laminated high-performance fabric: less volume, better insulation, improved waterproofing and faster microclimate control thanks to the 'body temperature response function' (patent pending).
ASSOS strataGonUltra features the latest membrane technology, the 'flexible barrier function': when the temperature is low, the membrane reduces permeability, i.e. it 'closes', helping to retain body heat. When the temperature inside the microClima rises, the membrane 'opens' to promote the evaporation process, ensuring that body temperature stabilises.
ASSOS strataGonUltra enables correct body temperature management. The advantages and uniqueness of the new generation of ASSOS strataGon laminated fabrics is that they do the job faster and have a lower volume-to-weight ratio than any other membrane fabric currently used in cycling apparel.
